Types of Glass for Iron Doors
Upon selecting new iron entry doors with glass for your home or business, it is imperative that you determine what type of glass is appropriate. In reality, for homeowners, it is a good idea to choose an opaque glass rather than just clear glass.
Clear glass is more suitable for patio doors and other areas where you are not worried about privacy. For a business, clear glass is recommended. Below you will find many types of glass that are used for iron doors.
- Flemish gives the illusion that the glass was handblown. Additionally, it has a unique design that offers privacy. When looking through this glass, you cannot make out full images but only shapes and colors.
- Aquatex is a variation of the Flemish type of glass. Instead of looking handblown, it looks like a bunch of water drops have been connected.
- Gluechip is a type of glass that resembles clear pebbles and has been spread across the glass. It is textured and does provide some privacy, as it is easy to make out that something or someone is behind the glass but the object is unidentifiable.
- Rain is a type of glass that gives the impression that water is running down the glass. It is also very decorative when used in different locations in the home or the office.
As you can see, there are many types of glass to choose from that you can add to your PRO-SERIES 8′ iron doors. Be sure to give us a call at (281) 890-5860 to find out more about our new inventory.
